Wouter and Chirine's E-Session in Potchefstroom

We did Wouter and Chirine's engagement session in Potchefstroom. We just went out to have a little fun. Wouter and Chirine was a real treat. They were up for anything I could throw at them.

I had a few challenges myself. I was almost run over by a car three times. But I have a saying: "As long as the picture is great, its worth it."

I like doing e-sessions. It lets me get to know the couple better and they get to know me better. How I work and what to expect on there wedding day. It takes a lot of uncertainty out for the couple.

At the end of a session we are almost friends with the couple. And it is much more relaxing if you're photographer is also your friend.

Suidwes Gala 2009

We covered Suidwes Landbou's Gala evening again this year. It was a grand affair full of glitz and glamour.

We did the formal pictures first as each couple entered the hall.

We also covered the prise giving witch gave me a chance to test out my new Pocket Wizards, the FlexTT 5's and the FlexTTL 1. They worked perfectly, even with the limitations of the 580EX II Speedlights created.

The noise created by the Canon 580EX II Speedlights limits the Pocket Wizard's range from the 240 meters specified in the owners manual to 10 meters.

But Pocket Wizard is already working on the problem, I am sure they will come up with a solution. They have always been known for there reliability.

Romanz was the entertainment for the evening.

Johan and Chrisna's wedding at Oudrift

We had a wonderful time with Johan and Chrisna at Oudrift in Potchefstroom.

It was a very emotional wedding with everybody wiping away a tear or two. It made for beautiful moments to capture.

We did Jan and Heidie's wedding at Bergvallei in Muldersdrift.

Jan and Heidie are very soft spoken people, but they know how to have fun.
We only had one instruction...... fun!..... And fun we can do!

It got dark soon after we started the formal pictures.

This gave us the opportunity to do some very creative things. We took some wonderful pictures.
